Paris through the eyes of a Londoner

The beginning of the year was quite busy for me, among other things I have been learning French for our office challenge – cause we’re fun like that. I am using our amazing looking app (hope the developers read this ;-)) called uTalk (read more about it here) because I recently went on a trip to Paris for a few days around New Year’s Eve and I knew that French people tend to expect everyone to speak French so I wanted to do my homework and at least learn how to ask for a coffee and a croissant.

10 (affordable) basic items for your cold season wardrobe

I’m not a ‘fashionista’ and I rarely follow the fashion trends simply because I believe that each person should wear what looks good on them and items that highlight their body shape and take the focus off the parts they are less confident about. I don’t watch fashion shows and I only follow a couple of style bloggers. What I do appreciate is style – this never changes from one season to another and I feel it has more personality in it than fashion. I have an eye for details, shapes, design and materials and I mostly wear neutrals (black, white, grey) maybe with a pop of red or a colourful item if I feel like going a bit crazy. I do believe that appearance is an important part of one’s confidence level and to how people view you. For example, it would be very hard to concentrate on what someone is saying if they were bad or event-inapropriate dressed – I just couldn’t take them seriously.

In this post I will talk about the few items that I believe every woman should have in their wardrobe, even if they don’t really care about fashion – just a few simple items that can go a long way and also easy to mix and match for those mornings when ‘you have nothing to wear’. Continue reading
